The -E option enables you to write the output to a file, so you can capture which channels were used. The -c option is useful as it automatically crops the noise at the top and bottom of the image, although with low elevation passes it can over crop. I'd also considered using other image manipulation software, but didn't need to This includes the formatting of the file output filenames.
I got a lot of the wxtoimg info from a PDF. I downloaded my copy from but I suspect if you put any font file in the directory and rename it to the expected file name it will also work (I've not tried this). You also need a copy of the tkclscrd.ttf font in the same directory. In contrast, the Planar Disk is almost free and it performs quite well in an indoor setting. Just because an antenna "is sold" does not mean its good or even marginal. Please verify your dongle is working with a good antenna before complaining that you cannot receive something.
